Sidecar Windshield Assembly (Standard)

Installed this with minimal tools and instructions. Pretty quickly I may add.

No instructions on how to assemble. Made me think. Loved assembling it. Great product, solid, protects the wife from getting hit by bugs.

Very fast delivery. Well packaged in box with all necessary hardware. Bought it for my wife and daughter who complained about getting hit with bugs, sand and gravel. Easy to install.

This is my second Ural Gear-up. My first, a 2014, had the windscreen. I can tell you, riding without one is no fun. I now own the 2018 Gear-up Sahara. I love it! I also have the side door, so between the windscreen and side door, the ride is a lot warmer in colder weather. It cuts down on the wind as well which makes for a more comfortable ride.

UralNE gets 5 stars for customer service on this. I received a burnished windshield from Ural. UralNE replaced the windshield ASAP, outstanding service! The windshield install itself all went together quickly and was on the bike in 10 minutes. Pros: very decent construction and solid at speed. Cons: Hits "bark busters" on loading and unloading. NOT during use. Wind buffeting is noticeable at speed and a bit of drag pulls the rig to the right (small Givi windshield on pilot side) Hoping the full size shield will balance this, if not may be looking at alignment issues pressure/suspension setup. Four stars for interference with guard, and rub. Would not hesitate to pull the trigger on this again.

Ordered a sidecar windshield for 2013 or newer on lineshipped within a week arrived as advertised complete with instructions.

I added the sidecar windshield for my wife and loves it! Great improvement and I opted for the clear Aviation. On the fwy there was no flexing of the windshield and I do believe it could take a impact from a bird or just debris without issue. Directions are not the best but it was easy to figure out and install in less than 1/2 hour. Watch a YouTube video 1st and that helps

Ordered from here in Sun City, AZ, on their great web page. Shipping and delivery was fast, packing was excellent. Came partially assembled which helped with install. Put it together and had it installed in about an hour (good for a 74 year old fat guy)! Just what my wife wanted on the Gear Up hack. Great folks to do business with, Thanks Ural NE from sunny AZ!

A perfect addition to the sidecar. Keeps the bugs and weather off my passengers. Took less then 15 minutes to install.

Worth the money and easy to install. The only down side is some of the wind is deflected to the driver.

Though there were no instructions, the installation was quite easy. I'm not sure if this is correct but I installed both sidecar brackets with the studs facing to the right (outside) of the car. That way, with the removal of two nuts, the entire frame will come out.

Windshield isn't quite narrow enough to fold down into the sidecar when it is disconnected. However, it does fold down far enough so that the original tonneau cover will cover it.

Note, if you leave the windshield up and try to install the tonneau cover (Like on other models), the fasteners are very difficult to twist. I decided to just fold the windshield down.

Their web site works great and it is simple to find what you want or need. If it is stock they ship pretty fast. My package arrived with no damage.

It did not have any instructions, so I went on youTube and found some videos that helped me to install it. It came with all the hardware necessary for install. It looks great and we are waiting for our first ride of the spring.

I ordered this because my wife wanted to keep the wind off of her when she rides. It was a bit difficult to get together with the simple instructions provided by the dealer. I called and asked for pictures and I got them emailed to me really quickly. Thank you. I purchased the dark tint and it looks great. It does what it is intended to do. Here are the trade offs for having a windshield on the side car. The passenger has to be more careful getting in and out, the windshield tilts back and you have to maneuver arounfpd it almost leaning back to get in and out. It's a trade off. Also because I got the very dark tint the passenger can't see very well at night. I didn't think of this when I ordered it. It looks great but too dark to see through at night. Again a trade off. I would recommend this project in the light tint or clear if your passenger will be riding during limited visibility and cares to see. Realistically my wife hasn't even ridden with me except during th day so it's a "potential" problem. The final issue I have is really on me and not the windshield. My bike actually tilts inward instead of out. With the tilt in my handle bar is very close to clipping the windshield, and I mean by 1/4 inch if I'm lucky. All in all a good product with some trade offs.

As always the service is excellent. great fit and finish of windshield. Prompt delivery. No assembly instructions , though pretty easy to figure out with some trial and error. Was disappointed I didn't get stickers this time. Oh well next time maybe. Best website for Ural parts and stuff. I Live in California and not close to any dealers and this place is great
